New WFVS International Fellowships Announced in Collaboration with Houston Methodist Hospital and Jikei University
The World Federation of Vascular Societies (WFVS) is proud to announce two new international vascular fellowships designed to enhance global collaboration, education, and innovation in vascular and endovascular surgery.
WFVS–Houston Methodist International Fellowship (Houston, Texas, USA)
In partnership with the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, this 12-month customizable fellowship offers a unique opportunity for non-U.S. vascular surgeons or senior trainees to engage in research, advanced imaging, and educational training. Fellows will work under the guidance of Dr. Alan Lumsden and participate in simulation-based training, complex case observation, and international outreach through educational media.

WFVS–Jikei University International Fellowship (Tokyo, Japan)
In collaboration with Jikei University Hospital, this 3-month immersive experience under the leadership of Professor Takao Ohki provides hands-on surgical observation, clinical research, and the opportunity to participate in daily vascular cases and outpatient clinics. Fellows must be self-funded and have at least one year of prior vascular surgery experience.
